Brown's adventures 2009

Well People, I had compliants about the small amount of posting lately, so mum has suggested that I do an update of this year (Karlyn has decided that she is NOT going to learn how to post stuff.

So, heres what has been happening:
Last Christmas we went to Neils Beach with Justin and Judy (who are now expecting a third addition to the family). As Dad didn't have a 4wd he was very much dubious (what cool word)

about lauching the boat to go sea-fishing as there is no ramp...and the beach is...well sandy.
Thomas had his 10th birthday....so he had a Party! We went cowboy shoting, which was thoroughly enjoyed.

I went working in Fox for a week...(but we have those pictures up anyway)
For the next few months life was a bit more...boring with school work and sleeping in.....and school work again....
Then Wildfood Hit Hokitika!
I, with the encouragement of Junelle and Tom, and the joint crazy-ness of Isaac (who joined me in eating these things), went and ate a few knarly-ish things at the Fest. A live huhu (tom also tried this), a deep fried huhu bettle, cow tongue, a worm truffle fire water ( wasn't so hard ;) ), passionfruit fudge and a really yummy mussel and pork kebab........................

Then came our family trip to Auckland! We visited Mike and Natalie Tantrum and their two gorgeous girls, Lauren and Zoe. We drove to Christchurch and flew up north from there. Stunning views, I love flying!

We stayed with them all but one night, when they took us up to Mike's parents who live just out of Wellsford. While going up we went to Hotpools and when up there we went Possum hunting, horse trekking, cow milking and rat spotting......I (Anna-Ruth) with a bit of help from Barry, Mike and Dad went pig hunting and stuck a pig!

so here are the pictures...each picture is worth a thousand words............
